A 43-year-old Montgomery County woman is facing charges related to the theft of a vehicle in Lower Saucon Township.
According to township police, Amanda Nicole O’Daniell of Pottstown allegedly stole a 2008 Volkswagen GTI from the 1900 block of Leithsville Road. Police said the vehicle theft was reported to them on the evening of May 3.
Police said they later “received information that (O’Daniell) would be returning to the area and abandoning the vehicle,” so officers used license plate readers to track the vehicle’s movement and “positioned themselves in the area.”
