Victim survives dog and human bites after violent attack over washing dishes

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is accused of child abuse after allegedly attacking a female victim after a verbal dispute over household chores escalated into him releasing his French Bulldog on her.

The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said Claudy Mendes, 28, faces false imprisonment, aggravated child abuse, domestic battery by strangulation, tampering with a witness or victim, and robbery without a firearm or weapon after a violent incident on May 1.

The victim, whose name was redacted, reported to police that Mendes punched her multiple times in the face, choked her, and threatened to kill her. During the assault, Mendes allegedly released his French Bulldog to bite the victim. The attack continued with Mendes reportedly strangling, punching, and biting the victim while the dog also attacked…
