COLUMBIA, S.C. — Traffic is moving again on I-26 East near mile marker 121 after a sinkhole brought vehicles to a stop on Thursday afternoon.
According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), a drainage issue was to blame for the hole that opened up in the highway. Crews have since patched the sinkhole with a temporary fix.
