From mailbox to the food bank, letter carriers deliver food donations

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Make sure to leave any non-perishables by your mailbox, and watch for your local letter carriers as a way to give back to food pantries in the Summit City area.

Hosted by the National Association of Letter Carriers, Stamp Out Hunger is a national effort that asks those wanting to participate to leave nonperishable food items in a bag by their mailbox.

Letter Carriers will then pick up the food, and volunteers will ensure it gets back to the food pantry…
