Kelly Park swimming area closed due to alligator activity

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Parks and Recreation officials confirmed they have closed the swimming area in Kelly Park Friday as a result of alligator activity in the water.

The swimming area and the waterfront trails around the water are closed, but the rest of the park is open for people in the area to enjoy. Kelly Park-Rock Springs is in Wekiwa Springs State Park, and is a popular local swimming destination that also has pavilions, and tent and RV camping sites, as well as a boat launch and a playground.
