I’ve read with interest your investigation into beryllium production at the Luckey, Ohio, plant in the April 25 and May 4 issues of The Blade. Your investigative team did a great job of describing the part played by the AEC, Brush Beryllium, Army Corps of Engineers, and others for deception and coverup of what was going on at the plant in the 1950s and the accompanying threat to human life. Their responsibility was to tell the truth, and they failed to do so. However, your team stopped there, leading the reader to conclude that those agencies were 100 percent responsible for the outcome.
