Second Arrest Made In Robbery/Carjacking

The Delaware State Police have arrested two individuals in connection to a violent early morning robbery that occurred on April 14, 2025, at the Merchants Square shopping center in Edgemoor. The investigation remains active as authorities continue to search for two remaining suspects.

At approximately 1:33 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the shopping center located at 4405 Governor Printz Boulevard for reports of a robbery and attempted carjacking. According to investigators, multiple victims were seated in their vehicles in the parking lot when three male suspects approached and demanded money and personal belongings. The suspects had arrived in a black Chevrolet Equinox driven by an unidentified black male. During the incident, the driver appeared to record the robbery as the other suspects attempted to forcibly enter the victims’ vehicles.

One of the vehicles was breached, leading to a physical struggle with the occupants. The suspects ultimately fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and stolen property. The driver of the Equinox was seen entering the front passenger seat of a blue SUV, which fled northbound from the scene. One victim sustained minor injuries during the altercation.
