Bayou Boogaloo, neighbors come to agreement for 2025 festival

The Bayou Boogaloo will go on this year, after organizers of the festival on the banks of Bayou St. John and residents of the surrounding neighborhoods were able to reach an agreement.

“Leadership from both the festival and the neighborhood met last night to come to an understanding of what success looks like for both the festival and its surrounding neighbors,” said New Orleans City Councilmember Joe Giarrusso in a statement released Friday afternoon. “Bayou Boogaloo has adjusted its footprint and configuration this year, and City departments have thoughtfully addressed safety concerns and neighborhood needs.”
