‘She made a difference’: Vigil honors beloved science teacher killed in Weld County crash

LASALLE, Colo. (KDVR) — A Northern Colorado community is mourning the loss of a beloved teacher after a violent crash claimed her life.

Christine Schwarz, 57, taught science at North Valley Middle School in LaSalle. She was killed when another vehicle, possibly fleeing law enforcement, crashed into her car last week.

Groups urge governor to sign rent algorithm bill

On Friday evening, dozens of friends, family members, colleagues and students gathered in LaSalle Park for a candlelight vigil to honor the longtime educator’s memory.
