Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison Encounters Titanic Artifact, Balks at Price

Rick Harrison, the ever-negotiating star of Pawn Stars, is known for his willingness to spend big on rare and historical items. However, even he has his limits. During a recent visit to Royal Pawns in Chester, England, Harrison encountered a piece of history with a price tag that sent him reeling.

Harrison’s friend, Big Mark, the owner of Royal Pawns, presented the artifact with dramatic flair. “This is what you’ve been looking for all your life,” Mark teased, revealing a piece of rusty metal nestled in a ring box. After some playful banter, Mark disclosed the item’s origin: a piece of the Titanic’s hull.

Mark explained that the piece was salvaged during a 1987 expedition that brought up numerous artifacts from the wreckage. He emphasized the rarity and historical significance of the item, noting the extensive paperwork accompanying it.

When Harrison inquired about the price, Mark revealed the staggering sum of £1.2 million (approximately $1.6 million USD). Harrison, clearly taken aback, politely declined, joking that he wasn’t interested in “a chunk of metal unless it’s a really big chunk of gold.” He then steered the conversation towards other items, leaving the piece of the Titanic behind.
