Susan “Sue” Sherard, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and community advocate, peacefully passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on June 4, 1946, in Sheffield, England, to Walter and Nellie Stafford, Sue moved to Oakland, California, in 1949, alongside her parents and older brother. The family eventually settled in Huntington Park, where she graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1964. In 1965, Sue married her high school sweetheart, Wes Sherard, and the couple built a beautiful life together in Fullerton and celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Sue was the devoted mother of five children: Michelle, Ryan (Jenny), Meredith (Eric), Brady (Erin), and Mandy (Robert), and the proud grandmother of 11—Cody, Riley, Molly, Dylan, Griffin, Eloise, Delaney, Aiden, Eli, Nixin, and Sadie. Her grandchildren were a source of endless joy, and she relished every moment spent with them…
