Three Memphis Men Sentenced to Over 30 Years for 2021 Armed Gas Station Robbery

Three men from Memphis have been sentenced to a combined total of over 30 years in federal prison for their involvement in an armed robbery at a gas station in 2021, according to an announcement by Joseph C. Murphy, Jr., Interim United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office release, in November 2021, Anthony Lewis, 36, Kyle Walker, 22, and Aramis Smith, 34, carried out the robbery. Walker and Lewis entered the gas station while Smith waited in a vehicle outside. Walker pointed a firearm at an employee, and Lewis stood at the door. They stole approximately $100.

A witness reported the incident to police. Undercover officers from the Memphis Police Department located the suspects’ vehicle, which crashed near the Hernando DeSoto Bridge after a pursuit. The suspects were arrested following a short foot chase…
