Rhode Island Energy builds new home for osprey following power outage

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WJAR) — Just days after an osprey nest caused nearly 3,000 Rhode Island Energy customers to lose power, the osprey now have a new home just yards away from the old nest site.

On Saturday, Rhode Island Energy crews installed a 50 foot pole on Kingstown Road with a platform for the osprey family to nest.
