The necessity of the project arises from the precarious state of the existing sanitary sewer main, teetering on the verge of collapse due to aggressive erosion along the east bluff of the West Fork Trinity River. It will be replaced by a new sewer network, including a lift station equipped with up to three pumps, and extended stretches of sanitary main designed to reroute the sewage away from water sources.
