Streets are flooding in the Lower Garden District, Mid City and Central Business District Friday afternoon as heavy rain moves over New Orleans and parts of the city’s metro area remain under a flash-flood warning.

Here are locations where city officials or Times-Picayune reporters have confirmed reports of flooding:

  • Lower Garden District: Several inches of water cover Mary Street between Magazine Street and Sophie Wright Place
  • Treme: Flooding reported near Claiborne Avenue and Bayou Road
  • Canal Boulevard underpass (Navarre): Closed due to flooding
  • Mid-City: Flooding reported at the Orleans Avenue and Broad Street intersection; in the 4900 block of Canal Street; at the Conti Street and Norman C. Francis Parkway intersection; and at Carrollton Ave. and City Park Ave. intersection
  • Carrollton underpass (Mid City): Closed due to flooding
  • Pines Village: Flooding reported at Downman Road and Chef Menteur Highway intersection
  • Uptown: Flooding reported at Eagle Street and Oak Street intersection
