Nine students from La Plata Middle School are advancing to nationals in Washington, D.C., as a part of National History Day’s yearly competition. After an array of creative and well-documented presentations at the state competition in Albuquerque last month, several La Plata students will move on to compete in June.
National History Day is a nonprofit organization formed in 1974, dedicated to seeing kids from grades six to 12 improve their knowledge of American and world history.
