Goats, goats, goats: Nonprofit uses goats to help memory care centers around Colorado

DENVER • Opening the gate to the courtyard at Woodland Estates Senior Living, Jimmy Naron releases a parade of goats.

Six bearded animals strut in, enthusiastically following a bucket loaded with alfalfa treats. It’s a sunny day outside, and about two dozen residents have been waiting in anticipation for the funny critters.

As they trot around (leaving behind a trail of pellets swiftly swept away by volunteers), the residents light up. Sweetly, they talk to them, “Here baby!” “You’re a little angel!” as the goats eat out of their hands…
