AIEA, Hawaii (Island News) — A high driver was arrested after an early morning collision on the Moanalua Freeway that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
The fatal motorcycle collision occurred in the Aiea area at about 5:17 a.m. on Saturday, May 10. A 39-year-old driver was traveling westbound on the Moanalua Freeway when he attempted to merge lanes. This caused him to collide with a 40-year-old motorcyclist traveling at a high speed on the freeway.
The impact redirected the motorcyclist to ride into the metal guardrail which ejected him from the motorcycle and onto the road. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident…
