The Fayette County School Board met on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Sheriff’s Deputy Joseph Johnson was given a plaque of appreciation as the Student Resource Officer of the Year (pictured) with school board member David Reeves. A roll call vote was held to select 3 candidates for superintendent of schools. The three to be interviewed are interim superintendent Dr. Tameka Lewis, Eddie Keel, the Chief of Staff for the schools, and Don McPherson.
