Hot temperatures hit Southern California; Sundowner winds to top 50 MPH

The weekend will bring hot temperatures to Southern California, especially inland, where many areas are expected to approach or break daily high-temperature records, according to the National Weather Service office in Los Angeles.

High pressure will dominate, keeping conditions scorching away from the coast.

However, Sunday evening will see gusty Sundowner winds in southwest Santa Barbara County, reaching up to 50 mph.
