Officials warn against floating Boise River despite warming temperatures

BOISE, Idaho — Despite rising temperatures, officials warn that conditions on the Boise River remain dangerous for recreational floating.

Water managers continue to monitor snowpack, runoff, and flood risk while river flows are expected to fluctuate in coming weeks as weather patterns change, according to Float the Boise, a partnership between the Boise Fire Department, Ada County Parks & Waterways and Boise Parks and Recreation.
