DULUTH, MINN. – The USF Track & Field Team finished the 2025 NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with seven all-conference athletes and 4 event winners. Over the course of the meet, the Cougars earned nine all-conference honors, broke five school records and eight national provisional marks were met. The women put together a fourth-place finish with 78 points, while the men finished in seventh with 64 points. Emily Swanson was recognized as the 2025 NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Outstanding Senior of the Year. Tyler Hiatt earned high point performer recognition.
Women’s Highlights
- McKenna Comstock- Comstock earns all-conference honors, tying for second place in the pole vault, with a mark of 3.71m.
- Tobi Peterson- Peterson records an all-conference performance placing second in the shot put, with a throw of 14.08m (46-02.50), recording a national provisional mark.
- Kami Wadsworth- Wadsworth is the javelin throw champion, with a national provisional toss of 42.96m (140-11). Kami also picks up a third place finish in the shot put, receiving all conference honors, with a mark of 13.99m (45-10.75), recording a national provisional mark.
- Emily Swanson- Swanson records both a school record and national provisional mark in the 100m hurdles, with a time of 13.84. Emily also placed seventh in the high jump, with a jump of 1.62m.
- Morgan Gehl- Gehl is the 1500m NSIC conference champion, with a time of 4:32.18.
- Kamry Lindsey- Lindsey placed fifth in the discus throw, with a mark of 44.53m (146-01). In the shot put, she finished seventh, landing a throw of 13.55m (44-05.50).
- Olivia Baumberger- Baumberger earns herself all-conference honors, placing second in the javelin throw, with a mark of 40.98m (134-05).
- Tamia Horton- Horton finished third in the 100m dash prelims yesterday, with a school record time of 11.42 while finishing fourth today with a time of 11.51, recording a national provisional mark. Tamia also competed in the 200m dash prelims yesterday, finishing 12th with a school record time of 24.54.
- Nicole Flynn- Flynn finished seventh in the discus throw, with a throw of 43.51m (142-09).
- Dani Minsaas- Minsaas picks up fifth place finish in the high jump, with a mark of 1.67m.
- Peyton Hanson- Hanson placed sixth in the pole vault, with a mark of 3.51m.
- 4×100 Relay- Emily Swanson, Paige Haack, Kendall Anderson and Tamia Horton set a school record, with a time of 46.89 taking fourth place.
Men’s Highlights
- Micade Shumway- Shumway is the 10,000m NSIC conference champion, with a time of 31:16.84. Micade also finished fifth in the 5000m run, with a time of 14:45.91.
- Tyler Hiatt- Hiatt adds another champion title for the Cougars in the shot put, with a throw of 18.59m (61-00.00), recording a national provisional mark. Tyler also earns all-conference honors in the discus throw, with a national provisional mark of 53.42 (175-03), placing second. He also placed fifth in the hammer throw, with a mark of 55.85m (183-03).
- Andrew Edwards- Edwards finished fourth in the shot put, with a mark of 16.63m (54-06.75), recording a national provisional mark.
- Denver Decker- Decker placed sixth in the javelin throw, with a throw of 52.60m (172-07). Denver also finished seventh in the 400m hurdles, with a time of 54.18.
- Benjamin Morrison- Morrison picks up a fourth place finish for the Cougars in the 800m run, with a time of 1:53.09.
- Brandon Stark- Stark placed seventh in the 800m run, with a time of 1:54.67.
- 4×400 Relay- Denver Decker, Brandon Stark, Benjamin Morrison and Jonny Cheney place sixth with a time of 3:17.23.
