A Jacksonville woman is celebrating a life-changing windfall after claiming a $5 million top prize on a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket, lottery officials announced Friday.

Lucinda Joseph-Rann, 54, won the jackpot playing the $5,000,000 CROSSWORD CASH game after purchasing her ticket at a Gate gas station on the city’s Northside.

Winning Purchase Details

Joseph-Rann bought the winning ticket at Gate Petroleum Company located at 60 Airport Center Drive in Jacksonville, according to Action News Jax .

The Florida Lottery confirmed that she chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,262,138 rather than taking the full amount in installments. Joseph-Rann claimed her prize at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
