AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with the Salvation Army of Amarillo are set to celebrate National Salvation Army Week from May 12–18, honoring over 120 years of local service.
Event Schedule:
- Monday, May 12 – First Responder Appreciation with cupcakes in Amarillo & Canyon
- Tuesday, May 13 – Sponsor Recognition with cupcakes
- Wednesday, May 14 – Behind the Red Shield lunch and facility tours (with an appearance from the Mayor)
- Thursday, May 15 – Sale & hot dogs at the Family Thrift Store
- Friday, May 16 – Community celebration at FAV’s
This year’s theme, “Love Beyond,” highlights how the Army meets need without discrimination across Amarillo and beyond.
