After a great Mother’s Day, we start the new week drier and hotter

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Sunday was a great day, weather-wise, to celebrate mom. Mostly sunny, temperatures in the upper 70s and bearable humidity.

The low-pressure system that brought us rain last week still is lingering over us and will begin to move out Monday morning. This will bring a stray shower or two Monday. Then we dry out Tuesday through next weekend, as temperatures soar into the 90s by Thursday.

After the low moves out, high pressure begins to take over in the atmosphere’s upper levels, heating us up…
