AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WRGB) — In celebration of National Student Nurse Day, Mildred Elley, a college in the Capital Region, is making strides to address the national nursing shortage by launching new programs in Amsterdam.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony May 8, marked a pivotal moment for the college to expand its educational offerings. Jenna Colasanti, a student at Mildred Elley, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities these programs provide alongside Mildred Elley CEO and owner Faith Takes.
The new location will offer classes to prospective students toward a Licensed Practical Nursing or Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate with the benefit of being able to further their career close to home. Students will begin the program in Amsterdam and finish up in Albany…
