Motorcycle Rider Killed in Late-Night Collision with Car in Fort Wayne

Last night, a fatal collision took place at the intersection of U.S. 30 & Kromer Rd in Fort Wayne, leaving a motorcycle rider dead and another driver unharmed. According to a press release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, the crash occurred just before 11:30 pm and involved a car and a motorcycle.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the adult male rider of the motorcycle in critical condition. Despite the efforts of the fire and medics to save the man’s life, he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. K9 Officer Daniel Nerzig of the Fort Wayne Police Department, informed the public that, at this early stage in the investigation, neither alcohol nor speed seem to have been factors in the devastating incident.

The investigation is ongoing, conducted by the Fort Wayne Police Department Fatal Crash Team and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
