Police arrest Wilmington man for string of New Castle County burglaries

NEW CASTLE COUNTY — Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington man in connection with a series of commercial burglaries that occurred across New Castle County over the past several months.

Larry Wilmer, 36, faces multiple felony charges after being identified as a suspect in a string of overnight burglaries at local businesses, including locations in Newark, Middletown, and the Shops at Limestone Hills. Authorities say the incidents followed a similar pattern, with suspects prying open rear doors and fleeing with stolen cash or safes.

The investigation began on December 3, 2024, when troopers responded to Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Newark. Surveillance revealed two suspects entered through the back and stole cash before fleeing in a Ford sedan.
