Work begins on USS Cincinnati memorial at Voice of America Park

WEST CHESTER, Ohio (WKRC) — Construction has commenced on a memorial dedicated to the United States Navy’s “silent service” at Voice of America Park.

The USS Cincinnati Memorial will honor the nuclear submarine named after the Queen City, which patrolled the world’s oceans during the Cold War.

Following the decommissioning of the submarine, efforts were made to bring parts of it to the Tri-State area. The memorial will be one of two dedicated to significant weapons in the fight for global freedom…
