Millcreek government study commission reaches decision on future system

After months of research and deliberation, a local study commission reached a decision on the future of one township’s system of government.

The Millcreek government study commission met Monday evening and reached a decision on what system of government they would recommend for the future of the township.

The seven commission members decided to recommend a township manager form of government with five council members elected at large throughout the township.

“We don’t want to sway anybody, we want to educate them, and I think after all the studying that we did, I think it will be very apparent, if we do our jobs, it will be very apparent to voters that Millcreek can improve as a township by switching to an optional form of government,” Paul Vojtek, Chairman, Millcreek Government Study Commission explained.
