The Salvation Army of Greenville is drawing closer to a $16 million fundraising goal for its planned shelter campus revitalization project.
Approximately $11.64 million has been raised for the “Rebuilding Hope Restoring Lives” capital campaign. The campaign will fund the renovation of the organization’s 45,000-square-foot Social Services campus on Rutherford Street.
Major Mike Harris, area commander for The Salvation Army of Greenville, Pickens and Oconee Counties, provided an update on the capital campaign on May 12, sharing that $4.35 million needs to be raised before they can break ground. He hopes the remaining funding will be raised by the end of 2025.
