The largest and most diverse high school class in U.S. history is graduating in 2025, a national total of 3.9 million students. The graduates, most of whom were born in 2006 or 2007, arrived around the same time as the release of the first iPhone. These Gen Zers have grown up with the internet and social media and have confronted the challenges of online schoolwork as middle schoolers. Generally, they are the first class to complete all four years of in-person high school instruction since COVID-19.
