Reading to begin using software to analyze traffic safety concerns

READING, Pa. – Reading City Council voted Monday night to award a contract to purchase a software subscription to generate a database of the city’s police crash reports.

The city is purchasing a six-month trial subscription for the Citian “CRASH” program at a cost of $25,000, to be paid from public works, traffic and engineering.

After the trial period, the city may approve a full subscription cost for $50,000 per year…
