WSAV Exclusive: SPD officers to issue motion of No Confidence against some executives

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A quarter of rank-and-file officers in the Savannah Police Department (SPD) are taking their grievances among some executive staff to the chief and a city official in an eight-page memorandum indicating a motion of No Confidence.

The document sent to Lenny Gunther and city leaders, including City Manager Jay Melder, has been signed by 73 SPD officers, outlining concerns involving Assistant Chief DeVonn Adams, Major of Police Shinita Young and Director of Strategic Initiatives Sonya Johnson.
