Vehicle registration enforcement across Front Range results in nearly 950 citations

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Multiple law enforcement agencies combined efforts to enforce vehicle registrations during the week of April 20 across the Front Range, resulting in almost 950 expired plate registration citations, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD reported that, along with the Denver Police Department, Aurora Police Department, Colorado State Patrol, Monument Police Department, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Fountain Police Department, and Pueblo Police Department, officers targeted expired vehicle registration and unregistered vehicle violations along the Front Range roads and highways.

Due to their combined efforts, 947 expired license plate citations were issued, and an additional 43 vehicles found with license plate registrations expired for more than 12 months were impounded. 167 drivers were cited for not having a current driver’s license, and 15 misused or fake license plates were confiscated.
