BALTIMORE (WBFF) — It’s official. As of May 7th Marylanders need a Real ID compliant drivers license or identification card. And while the change was years in the making scammers aren’t taking as long to take advantage of the confusion some people have regarding how to get one.
Those scams were the topic of FOX45 Morning News’s latest edition of Confident Consumer, with Clay Campbell from the Better Business Bureau saying he saw an uptick of reports before the deadline and is expecting that to continue.
“[Because] people are looking for convenient ways, convenient solutions to this Real ID deadline,” Campbell said.” And they’re trying to get these IDs online… you can’t do it all online, you have to go in person to the MVA.”…
