Kellogg Community College is launching a free training program for Battle Creek residents. According to an announcement, the Corrections Connect Training Program begins Monday, May 26, and aims to prepare recruits for employment with the Michigan Department of Corrections.
The program is available at no cost to eligible residents who meet specific income guidelines. It will take place at KCC’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center at 405 Hill Brady Road in Battle Creek. Classes will run from 1 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays until July 24.
The Corrections Connect Training Program is part of KCC’s Innovative Accelerated Credentialed Training initiative. It offers 10 seats for participants and focuses on preparing students for the Officer Recruit Training Program with the Michigan Department of Corrections.
