Boil water notice issued for Main Harbor water system

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD) issued a boil water notice for subdivisions on the Main Harbor water system.

According to the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), the notice was issued for 574 water connections on May 12.

Asbestos concerns halt demolition of old Coca-Cola plant

Officials said the boil water notice was issued due to a burst in a water main. Customers will be notified by the system when the notice has been lifted.

Health officials strongly recommend that all water be boiled vigorously for one minute before it is consumed.
