Aaron moved to Sioux Falls right out of college in 2013 to accept a job as a weather producer at KSFY, eventually being promoted to Weekend Meteorologist. After a brief stint outside of the broadcast industry, Aaron accepted a job as Morning Meteorologist at KDLT in Sioux Falls in 2018. He stayed on as KDLT and KSFY merged into Dakota News Now in 2020 and stayed the morning meteorologist.
Aaron is originally from the Wichita, Kansas metro area, which helps explain his love of weather. Growing up, he would see and experience all forms of severe weather ranging from tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in the spring to ice and snowstorms in the winter.
Wanting to pursue weather as a career, Aaron went to the University of Kansas, got into broadcast meteorology, and accepted internships in Wichita and Kansas City…
