The magazine’s editor, MJ Day, emphasized the significance of each woman’s presence, stating that their inclusion goes beyond aesthetics. “Every single woman in this issue brings with her a ‘why’,” Day explained.

For Hayek, the photoshoot was a journey. She reportedly tried on over 100 swimsuits, only to lose the suitcase containing her altered favorites. However, a magical encounter with a whale on location in Mexico helped her find her center.
Dunne, 22, is no stranger to the SI swimsuit issue, having modeled in previous editions. However, the news of landing a cover brought her to tears.
