Next generation of Asheville musicians to play AMS benefit show

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville’s newest generation of hometown musicians will rock out with a benefit concert this weekend.

Asheville Music School, a local nonprofit promoting affordable music education and outreach, will host their 11th Sound Effects benefit concert from noon to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 18 at One World Brewing West, 520 Haywood Road. Donations will be accepted at the door on a sliding scale basis at the door.

The concert will feature several AMS student bands, including Minør, Dr. Funky Squirrel and Liminal Spaces, as well as several solo and duo acts…
