Beach renourishment work could starting soon on Anna Maria Island

ANNA MARIA ISLAND, Fla. (WWSB) – For months, county and city officials on Anna Maria Island have worked to clear Gulf Drive of the tons of sand displaced by last year’s hurricanes.

Work on rebuilding the beaches could start by the beginning of 2026.
