Broward County Animal Care Offers Free Pet Vaccinations and Microchipping at Wellness Clinic in Pompano Beach

On May 23, the county’s official pet adoption and animal welfare agency will be hosting a Pet Wellness Clinic. Broward County residents with furry friends are invited to the agency’s satellite facility in Pompano Beach for a day of free rabies vaccinations, microchips, and the chance to snag affordable pet registration on the spot from 10 AM to 2 PM, as reported by a recent news release.

Recognizing the importance of pet health, the Pet Wellness Clinic is focused on making essential services more accessible. Affordability is a priority, with registration costing $25 for microchipped pets and $55 for those without a chip. All pets must be leashed or secured in carriers based on their species. And take note—only credit cards are accepted for payment. “This clinic is part of our ongoing commitment to making pet health services accessible and affordable to all Broward County residents,” Doug Brightwell, Director of Broward County Animal Care, assured in a statement obtained by Broward County.

The event is all about helping pets stay safe, healthy, and part of the community. Only dogs and cats are welcome, and they must arrive leashed or in a carrier. Microchipping and rabies vaccinations are free, but the clinic runs on a first-come, first-served basis. Though pre-registration won’t shorten the wait time, it does secure a place in line. A spot can be reserved online in advance…
