Police Chief says murder-suicide is a tragedy for all involved

PRINCETON, Ind. (WEHT) – The Princeton Police Department confirms a person was found dead in the passenger seat of a car at Baldwin Heights Apartments, which prompted an immediate investigation.Officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at 8:19 Tuesday morning after someone saw a person in a vehicle covered in blood.

The person found dead was later confirmed to be Larissa Davis.Princeton Police Chief Bobby Wood spoke with the family at the scene, saying it’s a tragedy for all involved.Wood says, “I feel for them. I got to talk to the mom that was here. I know several of them because they’re all in my age range and I got to speak with them. It’s a very, very tragic situation and it’s a tragic situation for both families, obviously, but I feel for everybody involved and if there’s anything we can do to be able to help them out, best way we can.”Chief Wood says investigators quickly developed Richard Ingle Jr. as the sole suspect.Wood says, he doesn’t know how he and Davis knew each other.Wood says, “He was a common person of interest that had been with her. Whether I don’t know if they were in a relationship or what was going on at the time between them, but that is due to the interviews that we had at the scene and the investigation that led up to him, led us to him.”Eyewitness News also received video from where officers caught up to Ingle in Sullivan County, north of Vincennes, with police saying Ingle was dead inside.
