BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) — All the world is a stage — or at least, part of Bluffton is — where a Shakespeare theater group is fundraising this week with a twist.
‘Beers with the Bard Strikes Thrice’ takes nearly 10 hours of Shakespeare into three 10-minute plays. This year, the performances are expanding beyond the Parlor City Brewing Company, where Tuesday’s performance took place.
“There’s nothing serious about this, it’s all fun,” founder Meagan Vandelaar said. “[The company does] serious plays like Hamlet and Macbeth, serious dramatic plays, but there’s just a lot of jokes. [Actors] don’t stick to the text, we mix it with normal English we use every day … we just have some fun with it.”…
