ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Allentown Planning Commission approved reconfigured plans for an apartment building at the former headquarters of a daily newspaper Tuesday afternoon at city hall.
The plans, offered by City Center Investment Corp., involve the former Morning Call building at 101 N. Sixth St. The project now goes by the name “The Standard,” after it previously was called “Story on Sixth.”
Previously, City Center’s proposal involved a five-story, 248,000-square-foot building with 231 apartment units and a pedestrian bridge spanning Sixth Street to an existing parking deck featuring 328 parking spaces. Parking at the Sixth and Turner Street garage…
