One rather boring morning at WWCB in Corry, our receptionist said, “Line one is for you…It’s Rich from Parrot Productions.” Rich Gensheimer and I worked together on voice-overs for Marine Bank, Loblaws, and a few others over the years.
He had a state-of-the-art recording studio in his basement in Erie.
He said, “Hey, Ron, you worked with Carl Hamme, didn’t you?” I said, “Of course!” Carl had one of the most complete old-fashioned analog recording studios I’ve ever been in. Rich explained that he had received a call from a very nice girl who was researching Erie back in the 60s. He went on to say that she wanted to know about Carl. He had referred her to me and given her WWCB’s number. He also emphasized that she was very nice and would call sometime in the next hour…
