Waldorf man gets 45 years for the murder of a 17-year-old

A Waldorf man will spend 45 years in prison after his conviction for killing a 17-year-old student outside his home.

The state’s attorney for Charles County, announced that on May 12, Charles County Circuit Court Judge Monise A. Stephenson sentenced Elijah Bernard Barnes, 20, of Waldorf to 45 years in prison for the second-degree murder of Rajon Lateef Jackson III, 17, as well as related charges.
