Together with my girlfriend Lory and my cousins we traveled to Milwaukee to explore the Miller Brewing Company with great enthusiasm to expand our knowledge about the famous brewery, to be totally honest, we heard you get free beer on the tour. Prior to starting our tour, we opted for lunch at Spitfires, 5018 W State St in Milwaukee which online reviews praised for its delicious wings. We found the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant made it the ideal meal before our brewery tour. The lunch served as an excellent way to start our fun day before exploring the brewery.
Wings Worth the Hype
Customers enjoy an extensive selection of over 30 different wing sauces and dry rubs at Spitfire’s which serves various taste preferences. Patrons can choose traditional wing flavors such as Garlic Parmesan and Caribbean Jerk alongside creative options like Blueberry BBQ, Thai Peanut and fiery “Devil’s Balls” because Spitfire’s menu offers something for everyone. The wings achieve their crispy texture through frying before they are sauced and grilled to develop a smoky char which boosts their overall flavor. The grilling method can occasionally drown out the sauce flavor which leads to the suggestion of ordering a double dip to enhance taste for a small extra charge.
MilwaukeeWings
Critics award both styles of wings with high praise. Bone-in wings show off their substantial meat and perfect cooking while boneless wings use genuine chicken breast instead of processed nuggets to deliver a satisfying bite.
