HARRISBURG, Pa. (EYT) — State authorities say they have dismantled a widespread illegal gambling operation that stretched across western Pennsylvania, seizing hundreds of unauthorized gaming machines and filing felony charges against two companies and their owner.
According to the Office of Attorney General, over 400 illegal video gaming devices were removed in coordinated raids throughout March from bars, convenience stores, and gas stations in 13 counties: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Crawford, Indiana, Somerset, Venango, Erie, Washington, Armstrong, and Westmoreland.
Two companies—Buffalo Skills Games, Inc. and J.J. Amusement, Inc.—now face felony corrupt organizations charges. Both are owned by John F. Conley, who has prior federal convictions for illegal gambling, officials said…
